Tiny Tree is a sustainable and modern flatpack Christmas Tree. It was created to fill a gap in the market for sustainable Christmas trees that are stylish, better for the environment and easy to store.

The Tiny Tree is made from FSC certified plywood, which means it comes from sustainably managed Forests. It is packaged in 100% recyclable cardboard. Often, Christmas trees are packaged in cardboard with glossy or matte finishes, this finish is a plastic coating and is not ideal for recycling.

The tree is perfect for smaller spaces, with dimensions (H) 1200mm x (W) 600mm) x (D) 180mm. It can be assembled in minutes from four pieces that slot together easily to create an outer triangle and inner frame. Lights and decorations can be added according to individual taste, so the fun of decorating the Christmas Tree remains the same.

It’s easy to disassemble and can be put back into the original packaging, then easily stored under your bed or in a cupboard, without taking up too much space.

Tiny Tree started in my Bristol flat in 2018. I was hoping to find a Christmas tree that was modern, sustainable and the right size for my small apartment. When I came up empty handed (even after visitng IKEA!), I did some research and realised there was a gap in the market.

I prototyped the first Tiny Tree after moving to London in 2019, but Covid made it difficult to launch and I ended up moving home to Sydney. Now I am ready to bring Tiny Tree to customers and have spent the past six months sourcing a manufacturer who could fulfil orders to a high standard. I’ve found the right manufacturer for the job and final prototypes are arriving the second week of September. This means I am looking to launch in time for Christmas 2021.

As I work in Industrial Design, I’ve been able to keep costs low by using my expertise and network. My funding goal will be put towards the first production run. I’m really passionate about creating great products for the home and giving the consumer a sustainable option which will suit their lifestyle.
